We can start you with essentially no cost if you are already dictating on a digital recording device or a central digital dictation system and you have a computer and an internet connection. You can test drive our services and if satisfied with the results, sign up.

At MOS, we never ask you to sign a long-term or annual contract.

Yes, we have a short agreement form for both of us to sign. We will be happy to send you a sample. Feel free to question any aspect of the agreement form.

Yes, you can do that. Please understand that the rates differ from plan to plan. Just contact us, and we will be glad to discuss any different options that might work better for you.

We do have different plans that can be flexed to your specific needs which would include turnaround time (TAT), format required, type of transcription, quality of the audio and so on. Please contact us for a personalized plan to fit your needs.

We will bill you as per the contract, and expect payment within 15 days. Each file will be broken out with total lines for the period, and a total. Any detailed information on any file can be provided on demand.

It can be done, but normally it is not necessary and can be cumbersome. This is due to the time difference as well as the fact that the process involves more than one person in making sure of the accuracy of the transcription. If you would like to have a conference call with the unit we can arrange that for you. Call or email MOS and we will make sure that any problem is taken care of.

Yes. Please request us at any given time and we can do that.

We understand that patient record maintenance is of the utmost importance. We backup all files in two separate locations for safekeeping and also burn them onto CDs for keeping off premises.

Absolutely, all files can be retrieved at a later date. A nominal fee shall be charged after the first year for the service.

If we say none we would be stretching things, but normally the learning curve is short, Depending on your requirements, it can be just a day or two, or up to 2 weeks. Feedback helps us to overcome that very fast. We do not anticipate a learning curve in legal terminology.

Yes. Either your Solutions Manager or our tech support from HQ will do that for you.

We accept dictations via flexible and convenient options such as digital handheld recorder (our preferred method), toll free number, secure cell phone dictation and conference call recordings. You can send us DVD/ CD, VCD, and all file formats, MP3, Wav, DSS, and so on. You can submit the dictations via FTP (File Transfer Protocols) e mail (encrypted of course), you can also use our browser method. We can also capture web-casts, telephone calls, and video presentations over the internet. If you have another way and it is not mentioned, please contact us.

When you sign up, you will be assigned a transcription team based on your specialty and your estimated dictation load. When you submit a dictation into our system, your assigned transcription group will automatically receive your dictation for transcription. This group consists of a transcriptionist with a quality assurance supervisor and English language specialists with several years of experience in the transcription field. All documents are then proofread and edited to ensure maximum accuracy.

You can receive transcriptions back in any format you wish, even in multiple formats. The document is returned to you securely by browser based drop box, secure FTP or right into your software systems in accordance with your turnaround time needs. You can then view and print your transcriptions online or download them to your computer. The transcriptions are then ready to be used according to your preference.

Yes, we will be happy to incorporate any of these canned phrases you may routinely use in your dictation. These will be considered in the pricing structure.

The transcriptions are returned in an RTF (Rich Text Format) file or any format you like. This standard file type can be opened using virtually any word processing program, including Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Lotus, and so on.

All communication between your computer and our website is protected. You will be receiving an e-mail as soon as the document is ready.

Our normal rates are for 24 hour turnaround time. You can also select turnaround times to meet your needs, i.e. 48 hours, 24 hours, 4 hours and 2 hours. You may choose different default turnaround times by report type or you can specify that with each report.

Yes we do. We have transcriptionists working 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The turnaround time also applies to weekend dictations.

We are flexible in pricing. As there are many variables, we prefer not to quote specifics until we know your requirements. We do expect to be very competitive and generally be able to reduce your costs (from 30-40%), as well as increase accuracy, turnaround time, and so on. We charge by per line basis, based on a 65 character line. We utilize state-of-the-art technology and innovative transcription methods like templates, and smooth & informed workflow. We make our pricing very simple and do not charge you for headers, footers, underlining, and bolding and so on. It is 65 character line times how many lines in a document.

We count a 65-character line where a character is defined as any letter, number or symbol necessary for the final appearance and content of a document, including the space bar. To fully understand this, take a transcribed document and open it in Word 97 or greater. Go to Tools, select Word Count and note the value shown next to "Characters (with spaces)" and divide this by 65.
