Photo Blending
Photo blending refers to the blending of two or more different photographs to form one image. Photographers and designers often blend photographs. Most of the modern and the olden day science fiction movies have been using the blending technique. With this technique it becomes possible for the characters to be transported to a totally different location /environment or background by just blending of the images. The technology of blending has perfected over the years.
Thus one can take a photograph of a person and blend it with a photo of the Himalayas so realistically that the person would look like he was actually there. Actually anyone with a passion for creativity they can easily blend photographs in exciting ways and also convert any photo into a work of art. One does not need to have great photo editing skills. Any layman with a little computer and Photoshop experience can create great photos with simple blending.
However for the photo editing professional blending is a very specialized subject and involves many different types of photo blending modes. A layer's blending mode determines how its pixels blend with underlying pixels in the image thereby allowing for the creation of different special effects using blending modes.
