Web pages need not be static like they used to be in the early days of the Internet. The static web page is made using only HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). Dynamic or interactive pages are getting to be more common and this interactivity can be made in two ways, either on the client side or the server side. Many scripting languages are used to create dynamic pages. Here are some of the scripting languages used at the server end.
- Lasso, Perl
The above mentioned scripting languages often use Common Gateway Interface (CGI) to create dynamic web pages.Languages used at the client end usually uses java scripts though excess use of it is known to create problems for the search engines while indexing and scanning the web pages. Crawling the deep web is still an area of active research. Pages with java scripts need an alternate navigation scheme within the web page to increase its accessability.
Recently AJAX (Asynchronous Java Script and XML) programming technique is increasingly being used to create dynamic web pages.
