Sending Data Entry Projects to The Philippines

The Philippines is one of the world’s favorite outsourcing destinations in Asia. Since the advent of the Internet age and the BPO boom, many business and non business corporate bodies from countries like the USA, Canada, Australia and the UK are sending their data entry projects to the Philippines.

The average Filipino is a hard worker and wages are much lower in the Philippines. Historically English education has been a major part of education in the Philippines. Thus they have the right qualifications for taking up BPO projects from the west. Data entry and data processing had always been Philippine’s specialty. The Philippines was ranked first in a 1992 study funded by the World Bank, which found that there were 2,000 keystations in the Philippines that produced over 100 billion keystrokes a year.

Slowly they have developed other skills over the years and today they also have the expertise and manpower to handle other BPO processes like call center outsourcing, medical transcription, e-banking services, IT support services, data conversion, encoding, keyboarding, copy-editing and indexing, data warehousing, and proofreading, imaging services and more.

Data entry projects are available for a variety of services like, online data entry, data capture and data conversion, offline data entry, key data entry, translation data entry, documents data entry, book entry, image entry and data mining services. Constant striving for high level of English proficiency, and computer skills today has put the Philippines in competition with India for securing BPO projects, which has become the back bone of its economy.
